Description

This is a rare opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a BRAND new Epic install as the Epic Security Administrator.  Our client is a nationally recognized medical center known for breaking new ground in research and training the next generation of healthcare leaders and ranks among the top hospitals nationally.  This is in the tri-state area.  For specific location details please email me at [email protected].  Please note that at this time my client will only let me present candidates who are in the tri-state area or have a connection or vested interest in relocating to the tri-state area.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Apply security classes for each application following Epic’s      best practice suggestions
  • Participate in testing the security classes with all of the      application teams to ensure that the application is working as designed      using the various security classes
  • Implement auditing structures to ensure tracking changes to      the various classes is documented
  • Assist in training additional staff to be able to support      Montefiore during the go-live and post go-live
  • Apply global/system security settings such as inactivity      timeouts, password expirations and user ID expirations
  • Ensure user import/migration between Epic environments using      recommended methods
  • Document procedures for Epic maintaining the security      processes
  • Collaborate with other departments at Montefiore IT to ensure      that Epic security requests are incorporated into the overall user id      process

 

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years working      in a clinical, healthcare business, or technical position
  • Security administration      experience or other technical skills are beneficial
  • Previous experience in      health care setting is preferred
  • Application implementation, troubleshooting, testing, and      support experience beneficial
  • Experience dealing with end users
  • Strong communications skills and ability to describe      complicated technical processes to non-technical staff
  • Self-directed and able manage multiple priorities
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to      develop relationships with internal groups across multiple teams
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
