Does the idea of spending time some place warm sound nice?  This is a great opportunity to do just that, and then some!  My Arizona based client with multiple locations in CA and the Southwest is looking for an Application Developer for Siemens MS4 for a 7 month contract that can be done remotely!!

The Application Developer I role as a junior developer is to maintain the applications designed to support the business operations across the entire enterprise and participate in small scope development initiatives.

Candidate is must be knowledgeable in application structure (location and naming convention for files, libraries, programs) for Patient Access and billing modules of the MS4 applications. This person can be remote.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide development support for Siemens MedSeries4 and application maintenance activities. Complete limited repair of existing code, create basic stored procedures, and reports. Develop and deploy small applications in conformance with  SDLC. Comply with all IT policies and procedures and verify deliverables meet Information Security requirements. Participate in design, code, and test peer review sessions throughout life cycle to identify tuning/optimization opportunities and issues.

SPECIFIC ASSIGNMENT FOR THIS REQUEST:
Hospital system will move 5 MS4 instances from M50 and M550 servers to new Power 770 servers. In preparation, many files, libraries, output queues, and programs need to be reviewed and then moved, renamed, or revised to be in compliance with our Revenue Services Standards. This Application Developer I contractor will perform this standardization work under the supervision of a senior developer on staff.

EDUCATION
Bachelors degree in a business management or technical/medical discipline.

EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of one year of IT experience in a hospital or medical related industry. Minimum of one year providing development and/or development support in IBM RPG/400 and Siemens MedSeries4. Experience with IBM Rational products and working with a global development team is strongly desired.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Working knowledge of networks, IBM AS400/Power7 technology and supporting software tools and their impact on application development and support. Working knowledge of the IBM RPG/400, Siemens MedSeries4, SQL, IBM DB2. Basic understanding and technical problem solving skills. Practical knowledge and understanding of SDLC methodologies. Capable of documenting system/technical portion of assigned deliverables, including the version description and release notes.
